This Month's Featured "Colour" Question to Leslie Sloane

Hi Leslie,

I’ve been enjoying reading your newsletters and they have really helped me to see the certain reasons why I have created my life as it is. Slowly it’s shifting to a much brighter side. Quite a bit of work to be done, but I know – little by little. So thank you the continuous guidance through your newsletters.

And because I’m new to understanding the different meanings of colors, I’m a bit confused. My husband loves the colors green and olive. Everything needs to be green/olive colors. The walls of the house, the car, his clothes (yes, even his boxers). I think the color is ok and I try to balance out certain sections of the house with pink, which is one of my favorite colours.

But my confusion is this – when I read your book and looked up those colors (olive/green), my husband seems to display (and live) most of the dysfunctional aspects of those two colors. Huh? I would think that him liking those colors so much would bring him into the harmonious aspects of those colors.

What could I do to help balance him out?

Also, out of curiosity, I chose three colors before writing this – Pink, Clear, Violet. I wanted to choose Orange too but I limited my choices to three.

Olive Boxers Olive and Green boxers? Hmmmmm. Your husband is an ELF. :)

What else comes to mind about your husband is that he’s avoiding “change” in his life, or what we call the internal death. He is indeed calling in the colours he needs, but through clothing nor painted walls can he be healed of his subconscious or conscious issues. As we are made of “light” and our bodies are similar to batteries, we require recharging through that which comes from “light”. Living vibrations of Auracle’s since they are made from plants, flowers, essential oils, crystals and gems, all contain healing vibrations from the sun.

The Olive can represent fears of the Heart, not feeling grounded, and possibly not aligned with his true path in this world. He’s seeking empowerment within himself, but hasn’t quite figured out how to obtain it. The answer is to let go of his control and surrender to spiritual guidance. He also is quite afraid of being vulnerable I feel. To open his Heart too much is to reveal his truer nature. Most men don’t like to do this, so they remain closed down and in fear mode.

The Yellow in Olive carries the child or “I” syndrome. This may bring out some selfish qualities with your husband, which is why all your walls are painted some shade of Green, not having consideration to you sharing the same space as he.

Green Leaves Now, the Green can speak of claustrophobia or someone who needs “space” where they live or work. It also means needing to go through an internal “death”, or a change of patterns within as Green is the colour of the Heart and also represents Self-Realization. Leaves are Green before they die and turn brown. If you’re in too much Green which is the colour which specifically means change and there is no change, you feel dead or stuck. This is exactly why Kermit sings a song that says “It’s Not Easy Being Green”. This is a truth in itself. He’s the colour of change, but yet he has to stay the same.

The same thing is found when looking at a garden, so I could not imagine being exposed to all Green walls for this brings the feeling of dying.

Balancing with Pinks, Reds and Magentas are great for the living space, but for his healing again, he must use live frequencies such as the colours or crystals, etc. The colours would be as mentioned above.

The Pink, Clear and Violet are about your need to connect to Spiritual Love possibly through service as a healer. You too, have been searching for your path and have been suffering (Clear) because it has not revealed itself to you yet, thus keeping you a bit in the dark.

You may also feel frustrated (as there is Red in both Pink and Violet) and a bit angry with your husband (Blue fraction within the Violet) because he’s not been supportive of you as the feminine. Thus, the Orange you would have had at the end is calling for yourself to be nurtured, free of old patterns, living your life with authenticity and as such experiencing an entire rebirth of the self.

Getting back to the Pink and Violet you are a kind compassionate being and are perfect to give of your light to humanity in anyway you can. The other beautiful thing about this is that Pink and Violet bring through another ray of Magenta. Magenta is the opposite and healing colour to Olive. This tells me you and your husband are both calling in an extreme change in your lives through empowering yourselves and each other through higher wisdom from the Heart and spiritual Love from beings above. It also tells me you are soul mates as most soul mates will choose the same or exact opposite of each other.
