Hi everyone! Can you believe it’s December already? We’ve all been plunged into Christmas, Santa, Elves (my favorite – tee hee!), Chanukah and Kwanzaa in a blink of an eye, with December 21st marking it all with the beginning of Winter.

I think I’m just going to find the nearest sled and ask the ELF driver to take me to the North Pole, order a bunch of ELFIN Hot Chocolate and wait until all this craziness is over with. Anyone want to join me? (tee hee!) Now with global changes, they even serve Cacao. Love those ELVES!!!

So, why is this month's colour Coral, and what exactly does it mean?

Well, in this moment as in every year most think about Christmas and the birth date of Christ on December 25th. The colours we see are generally Red and Green signifying relationships of all kinds, whether it is to ourselves, our beloveds, family, friends, or co-workers. Red is about the "fires" ignited within the souls awakening process, and Green if you remember is about self-realization, change and Truth. So, if the soul is calling for an awakening, and probably the greatest shift ever taken until present, Coral is the next step up what I call "Jacob Ladder", that which brings us to higher levels of consciousness as we seek enlightenment. I will explain what I mean.

Going from Black to Coral

Remember last month I spoke about the Black Bottle representing the shadows within our Hearts we needed to look at, embrace and work through them , and as such allowing ourselves to open to the complete power and total transformation within. We’re in the process of rediscovering the real truth inside of ourselves, not focusing on others, in the Black frequency.

The Coral however, is about others in our worldly communities, whether they be local or global.

It is also a colour associated with the Christ Consciousness, but not in the religious sense. The Coral ray asks us to hold Compassion, Forgiveness and Love in our Hearts for ourselves as well as humanity and all sentient beings. This was one of the most beautiful teachings of Christ as these messages came from an enlightened Heart of a Master speaking words of Love-Wisdom to everyone he met.

The Coral grows in the Mediterranean and South Pacific Oceans and is made up of many hundreds and thousands of individual Coral life forms. Although each has their own existence, together they create the greater Coral Reef by consciously functioning through one mind and purpose to benefit the "whole" of their existence. Thus, Coral represents to us, development of local and global communities through unconditional Love. In Coral, it is no longer about us and our individual ego, but it is about sacrificing ( in the positive, not negative of the victim or martyr) our individuality to be "joined" with others as part of the greater good. Coming through our internal journeys for our deepest truths in the Black, we can now weave these energies of realization into the Coral, the ray of co-creating communities with others in their power, helping ourselves and the world continue to flourish . Coral teaches us to nurture and Love ourselves and others as we are. It is unconditional, filled with compassion, and most of all very forgiving.

Yes we are all different like the many animals that make up the Coral Reef, yet our most beautiful connecting factor will always be our Hearts, for it is through our Hearts we feel, we can "tune in", and we can truly be awakened to just how brilliant, special and magickal we are since we are all children of the "Light".

The December Coral Workshop
Another Inner Journey of Success!

Thanks to those who participated in December's Sacred Space, Sacred Heart, Sacred Love Workshop. Once again, it was a beautiful Workshop. In each moment was woven something mystical, and all who came experienced such deep and transformative shifts in their Hearts and in their consciousness, seeing themselves differently. A unique road to compassion and truth, the awakening of each soul from their ancient energies into the present, came forth.

My 7-Year Old Mirror

Hug your grandma one more time and tell her you love her. She hesitated for a moment and shyly mumbled, "I love you, abuelita (grandma)." Then she climbed up on the bed, reached out and gave her a hug. My mom hugged her tightly, longer than normal not wanting to let go of her only granddaughter. "I love you too," she whispered back in her Spanish accent. Little Adrianna, jumped off the bed and said, "ok, uncle Johnny. Bye." She gave me a hug as equally as she did "abuelita" and off she ran like the 7-year-old that she is.

I struggled at holding back the tears and not letting them see my emotions – not because I was doing the "guy" thing and not crying to show how strong I was, but because this moment was overwhelmingly personal.

I wanted so much for that hug to last forever for it flashed me back to when I was 7 years old. I was hugging my abuelita and thinking that her being sick, in bed, was only going to last a little bit – but to then sneak into her room a week later, kneel at the side of her bed and watch her eyes roll back as she literally transitioned to a forever stillness. I did not understand why, when I ran out to tell my mom that she wasn’t breathing anymore, everyone came in to the room crying and at that point I never saw my grandmother again.

I always felt sorry for that 7-year-old Johnny who didn’t have that opportunity to give abuelita that one last Forever physical hug and to say, "I love you". And I often blamed myself for her death because I’d sneak to the store and buy her cigarettes that made her cough and worsened her breathing. I felt angry with my family for not letting me see her again because I didn’t understand.

But 33 years later (33=3+3=6 the number symbolizing the internal Christ Consciousness), this Abuelita/granddaughter exchange helped me to realize that I had quietly carried these feelings in me and was now ready to release them.

But how do I release them?

To bathe in the Coral light soaking in the rays of Compassion, Forgiveness and Understanding. With this bath, I experienced:

• Forgiveness towards life for not having granted me that one extra last moment with abuelita to hug her and tell her I loved her.
  
  
• Compassion for those kids and adults who give someone that usual good-bye hug and don’t realize it’s the last time they will physically see them. That feelings of guilt, anger, shame, abandonment caused by a person’s transition is necessary in understanding the perfection of the soul’s evolution, but can be better serving when left behind and not carried around so that clarity can also bring deeper meaning as well.
  
  
• And understanding that these tears that I hold back aren’t for my feeling sorry for Adrianna and Mom, but for the joy of having shared this moment of closure with two extraordinary individuals who will soon be experiencing their own Coral journey.
