Hi Everyone! This year is escalating as we find ourselves in April already. Taxes are coming up and we all know how fun that can be!!! Most of you may not know, but Pluto went Retrograde a few days ago and is turning everyone’s lives upside down for the most part.

Pluto takes us on a journey of complete and total personal transformation, bringing up deep psychological issues lying within our unconscious states. The purpose is to isolate and purge all distortions causing shock, trauma, abuse and pain, thus transmuting and regenerating ourselves through complete and total light. In other words, this is a “re-birth” of sorts, which is synchronistical and in alignment with the frequency of Orange as the colour presenting itself in this month of April.

Weaving last months colour of Turquoise into this months colour of Orange is quite a journey in itself. What does this mean exactly? Remember, the Turquoise ray is about the Hermit, taking the internal journey to find the higher self, connections to dolphins, whales, the stars, Atlantis, crystals, “feeling communication” (where we express ourselves through painting, poetry, singing, dancing, acting), all forms of art being inspired from Divine energies. In essence, we are working with our emotions and expressing ourselves through the higher Heart with spirit whispering in our ears.

As we receive Divine messages of what our personal truths are, we can then manifest this new level of creation in the physical world, birthing it through the Orange ray.

Orange is an earth-based colour since it is the child of the Red (earth-root) and Yellow (sun-solar plexus). Its energies work through our sacral chakra located two finger widths below the belly button, and two finger widths inside. Orange represents the ovaries and testes where we “birth” or “abort” all ideas prior to becoming physical realities.

The Turquoise is more aligned with spirit as it is of the Blue realm, and would be associated with occurrences or messages coming from “out of the Blue”.

The Chakra Scale and Meanings of Orange:

A brief understanding of the 7 basic chakras known in every culture will show a graduation of the rainbow colours moving up the body beginning with the genitals or “Root chakra”, continuing through the “Crown chakra” as such: Red ( 1st chakra/earth/physical), Orange (2nd chakra/earth/water), Yellow (3rd chakra/stomach-fire), Green (4th chakra/Heart/air), Blue (5th chakra/throat/sound), Indigo (6th chakra/third eye/telepathic) and Violet (7th chakra/crown/ thought/cosmic energy).

The first 3 chakras are earthbound and are associated in the physical world. The 4th (Heart) being the bridge between upper and lower worlds, and the 5th -7th chakras are spiritual in nature associated with subtle energies and guidance from Divine. Hopefully this will help bring a greater understanding of what I’m talking about when I’m discussing Orange as a physical colour.

Now, getting back to Orange, it governs creation, our feelings of sensuality, and clairsentience (the ability to “feel” what is unseen by the naked eye).

It is after we have come from the Turquoise state of meditation (listening to the higher Heart), that we are better able to listen to the child within (Yellow), through the emotional body tapping into what we are truly passionate (Red) about, bringing whatever it is to LIFE.

Abuse, Addiction, and Pain

In its distortion, Orange can remind us of abuse, addictions and pain if we do not recognize our inner authority and speak up for ourselves leaving fear behind.

I would like to elaborate on one particular type of addiction as an example. Many of us have engaged in eating sweets in many forms to console our emotions, but never realized why. Generally this is a reflection of not having a “sweet” enough life, thus we are trying to compensate by ingesting outside sources of sweets to fill the holes of sadness, loneliness, abandonment, betrayal and many other deeply emotional issues. However, with all of us who’ve ever done this, did feeding ourselves with sugar EVER help? No, it didn’t, but what did happen is we formed an addiction to something quite unhealthy. This is what happens when we don’t listen to “Divine” orders from above, those little voices telling not to get candy when we’re at the store walking down the chocolate isle. When we don’t adhere to “Divine” (Blue) orders because we “think” we can control things, we create (Orange) a human order, or addiction that causes us to do something over and over again every day. This is the illusion, and our will holding us back to continue making lower conscious choices. This keeps us in cycles of suffering, and we all know it.

Choice

Where we are in life is where we’ve chosen to be. It IS choice. If we choose to ignore messages coming from Divine wanting to be spoken through our voices, the traumas will continue until the “truth” comes out and is acknowledged. When we speak our truth, we don’t need to console our emotions through addictive behavior however it may present itself. Once we feel safe through the power of our own words, we will no longer need to implement unhealthy patterns of the past. Think about it – what colour do prisoners wear? Right – it’s Orange. Interesting, isn’t it? The truth is, if we don’t listen to our Divine orders, we WILL go into addiction out of fear.

Orange also means to “drop” the past, detach from worldly possessions and illusions like the Tibetan Monks for instance - let go of the will (Yellow), and step into a new form of living as an awakened (Red) and conscious soul in the Here and Now.

Through awakening the harmonious Orange within, you will find your freedom, creation, intuition, and living as the “authentic” you, awakened to the state of your truest power. Interdependence instead of co-dependence will be revealed as your higher states of awareness emerge, and more beautiful levels of sensuality and warmth will unleash themselves in the most magickal ways.

It also connects us to our joy and enlightenment, and is the “Nurturer of Love”, here to help us master our emotions.

Buddha said, “All suffering comes from attachment”. So remember, what we try to hold onto we will ultimately lose.

The Orange Workshop is about exploring the yumminess of life, our desires, emotions, our humorous side, and our creative abilities allowing us to dive deeply into the insights we wish to express.

Feeling the emotional roller coaster of Orange? Keep the high vibes alive with an easy to make Creamy Carrot-Ginger Soup.
Leave the Doritos and Cheetos behind.

Ingredients
Serves 4 to 6

2 tablespoons olive oil
2 pounds carrots - peeled & sliced
3 cups water
1 cup coconut milk
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp curry powder
1/4 tsp coriander
1/4 tsp cumin
1/2 tbsp of grated ginger

For Garnish: fresh cilantro or parsley slices of avocado sprinkle of gomasio

Method

• Add 3 1/2 cups water. Cover and simmer until carrots are very soft, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes.

• Heat oil in a heavy large saucepan over medium heat. Add curry powder, coriander and sauté for a just a moment.

• Puree soup, coconut milk and spices in a blender. Return soup to same saucepan and simmer on low heat. Season to taste with salt and pepper. While serving, transfer the Curried Carrot Soup into bowls.

• Garnish with chopped cilantro or parsley and avocado slices and a sprinkle of gomasio and LOTS OF LOVE!

We all know that the greatest nurturer of all is the Self, right??? Of course! You knew that, just as I have always known that as well (wink wink). But what if I was to shift this “known statement” to say that the greatest nurturer of all was right below our feet. What would that be? Yes, you are correct. It’s the cement.

And below this cement, many feet down, lies the support system – the foundation – of our cities, towns, communities, and Self – her name is Lady Earth, Mama Earth, Goddess Earth, Gaia, or for you traditional folks, Mother Earth.

She builds the perfect nurturing scenario for all and paves individual paths for each one of us, in complete harmony and support of your own personal Divine Source.

For some, this path is quite beautiful and enchanting but for most this path is paved with an overgrowth of trees and bushes and the actual path markings on the ground have vanished so no longer does this passageway's direction make sense. No longer does it direct you in a clear way – it just fades into a forest of nowhere and you’re left standing there saying, “Now where do I go? I have my American Express but I should’ve brought my chainsaw instead.”

Deep breath please. Let’s sit here for a moment and go through a quiet journey using the color orange and your beautiful gift of visualization before you get too frustrated about going nowhere for this will take you somewhere. We are going to visit with Mother Earth for a quick chat...

The journey begins within the womb of our beloved Mother Earth. The taste of mother’s land food and water awakens our tongues with subtle joys that are simply sparks of love coming from the body thanking it for indulging in pure food force. And the knowingness of the unknown allows our third eye to sparkle with abundance and wisdom.

As you walk this path in awe and gratitude, you reach different landmarks that point the direction of which to walk. You smile knowing that Mother Earth has never been wrong before and you gladly take the left turn down the hill that leaves you at a deep blue lake. At this lake, you take handfuls of delicious blue water and drink it feeling the cooling sensations that coat your throat. You clear your throat unexpectedly and begin to speak. "Where am I?" you ask.

"You are within a place that will always bring you nurturing in all aspects of your senses. You are in a place that will always care for you no matter if you love it back. You are in a place that will always bring you back to an awakened state of truest self. You are interacting with Mother Earth"

"But why have I not seen all of these spectacular sites before? Did I miss the turn somewhere on my path? I mean, my path is pretty confusing."

"No, you didn't miss the turn. You simply never wanted my Love and nurturing to begin with. The forests and bushes are overgrown on your path because I continued to give you Love and you didn't accept it. Just because you don't accept this Love, doesn't mean that I stop giving it. And so the plants and trees will continue to grow. If you just reach out and accept my Love, your path will begin to reappear under your feet, redirecting you to this very place where you are now."

"So all I have to do is allow for you to nurture and Love me? How do I do that?"

"You already did. You accepted my Love all throughout this journey and you never realized it. All you had to do was accept..."

"That seems too simple. What's the catch?"

"It is simple and there is no catch. Just allow yourself to receive of my Love always. Because you live in the city, find a way to connect to me and I will help and guide you tremendously. Visit a park, go to the beach, take a trip into the mountains. If you decide to move to a place surrounded by nature, find a way to connect to it as well. You'd be surprised how a tree doesn't look like a tree anymore when you're always surrounded by it.

Now, I'm going to place you back on your original path, but just say, I allow, and you'll see the balance come back to your path. Allow because you deserve. You deserve because you belong. You belong because we are One."
